Description

This white chocolate bark is layered with a creamy peanut butter filling and topped with chopped Reese’s Pieces candies for a fun and delicious treat. Perfect for holidays, parties, or an easy dessert!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 16 oz (454g) white chocolate, coarsely chopped and divided*
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 cup (250g) creamy peanut butter*
  • 1/4 cup (56g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (120g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (100g) chopped Reese’s Pieces candies

Instructions

  • Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang to lift the bark out easily. Set aside.
  • Melt the first layer of white chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine half of the white chocolate (8 oz/227g) and ½ tsp oil. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring after each until smooth. Do not overheat. Pour into the prepared pan and spread evenly with an offset spatula. Refrigerate uncovered for 10–15 minutes to soft-set.
  • Prepare the peanut butter filling: In a medium bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until smooth (about 2 minutes). Add confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and salt, and mix until combined (about 1 minute). Spread the mixture evenly over the chilled white chocolate layer. Refrigerate while preparing the next layer.
  • Melt the second layer of white chocolate: Repeat step 2 with the remaining chocolate and oil. Pour over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly. Sprinkle chopped Reese’s Pieces candies on top.
  • Refrigerate uncovered for at least 30–60 minutes until fully set. For storage beyond 1 hour, loosely cover the bark after the first hour. Note: The top layer may crack when cutting if very cold—this is normal.
  • Cut and serve: Lift the bark from the pan using the parchment overhang and transfer to a cutting board. Cut into pieces using a sharp knife.

Notes

  • Chocolate Options: You can substitute semi-sweet or dark chocolate for white chocolate. Adjust sweetness accordingly.
  • Peanut Butter: Use creamy peanut butter for a smooth texture. Avoid natural peanut butter as it may separate.
  • This recipe is perfect for gift-giving or sharing at gatherings!
