- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups dry white wine (e.g., Chardonnay)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: Add garlic to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant, being careful not to brown.
- Combine Ingredients: Pour white wine into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in melted butter, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Return Shrimp: Add shrimp back to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes more, or until heated through.
- Serve: Toss shrimp with the sauce to coat. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Add Heat: For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic.
- Wine Alternatives: Experiment with Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio for different flavor profiles.
- Serve Over Pasta: Pair with linguine or spaghetti for a complete meal.
- Vegetable Boost: Sauté chopped spinach or mushrooms with the garlic for added texture and nutrients.
