Description

Pumpkin Caramel Rice Krispies Treats are a fall-inspired twist on the classic snack, featuring crispy cereal layered with gooey marshmallows and drizzled with rich pumpkin caramel sauce. Sweet, spiced, and perfect for seasonal treats or holiday gatherings.

    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 5 tablespoons butter
    • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
 
  • Pumpkin Caramel Rice Krispies:
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 10 oz marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin caramel sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pumpkin caramel sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt sugar until it becomes a golden amber color, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add butter and stir until fully incorporated. Slowly add heavy cream while stirring, then mix in pumpkin pie spice and salt. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in ⅓ cup of the prepared pumpkin caramel sauce.
  5. Fold in Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
  6. Press mixture into a greased or parchment-lined 9×13-inch pan evenly.
  7. Drizzle remaining ¼ cup pumpkin caramel sauce on top for extra flavor and presentation.
  8. Allow to cool and set for about 30 minutes before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

  • Use a greased spatula to press the mixture into the pan to avoid sticking.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top caramel drizzle.
