Ingredients

Units Scale

Mashed Potato:

  • 2 medium potatoes
  • A pinch of salt

Bread:

  • 3/4 cup bread flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Other:

ย

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Prepare Mashed Potatoes: Boil the potatoes over medium-high heat until tender. Transfer to a bowl and mash with a fork. Add a pinch of salt and mix well. Set aside.
  • Make the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, milk, salt, sugar, vegetable oil, and baking powder. Knead for 5 minutes, then cover with a towel and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Assemble the Bread: Lightly oil your working surface. Roll out the dough into a thin, round shape. Add mashed potatoes and mozzarella cheese to the center. Fold the dough over and pinch to seal.
  • Cook: Heat oil in a pan over low heat. Cook the bread for 8-10 minutes per side until golden brown.

ย

  • Serve: Slice and enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Substitute sweet potatoes for a slightly sweeter version.
  • Try adding herbs or garlic powder for extra flavor.

ย

  • Use cheddar or a cheese blend for a different taste.
