Description

These Popovers are delightfully light and airy, making them a perfect addition to breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, theyโ€™re simple to prepare and irresistibly delicious.


Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup milk, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly butter six sections of a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and melted butter.
  3. Add the flour and salt to the bowl and whisk until the batter is smooth.
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin tin sections.
  5. Place the tin in a cold oven. Set the temperature to 450ยฐF and bake for fifteen minutes.
  6. Without opening the oven, reduce the heat to 350ยฐF and continue baking for about fifteen more minutes until crisp and golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and enjoy immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Make sure your eggs and milk are at room temperature for the best rise.
  • Do not open the oven door while baking to prevent the popovers from collapsing.
  • Popovers are best served fresh but can be reheated gently if needed.
