Description

Pizza Burritos are a crispy, cheesy fusion of pepperoni pizza and burritos. Filled with marinara, mozzarella, and pepperoni, then pan-fried to perfection, they’re a fast and fun meal that everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or parsley (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for pan-frying)

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Lay out each tortilla and spread 2–3 tablespoons of marinara sauce in the center.
  3. Add shredded mozzarella, 5 slices of pepperoni, a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, grated Parmesan, and fresh herbs if using.
  4. Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly into a burrito shape.
  5. Lightly grease the skillet with olive oil or butter and place burritos seam-side down.
  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  7. Let rest 1 minute before slicing and serving with extra marinara for dipping.

Notes

  • Warm tortillas before filling to prevent tearing.
  • Use a lid while pan-frying to help melt the cheese faster.
  • Add sautéed vegetables or use meatless pepperoni for a vegetarian version.
  • Can be baked at 400°F for 10–12 minutes instead of pan-frying.
