Description

These Pizza Burgers combine everything you love about burgers and pizza in one cheesy, saucy bite. Juicy beef patties are topped with marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, and herbs, all tucked between toasted buns for the ultimate comfort food mash-up.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce (warmed)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 6 burger buns, lightly toasted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for toasting buns)
  • Optional toppings: pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms, or fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. Mix gently until combined, then form into 6 patties.
  3. Toast burger buns with olive oil or butter until golden, then set aside.
  4. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.
  5. Spoon warmed marinara sauce over each patty, then top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover with a lid or move to the oven broiler for 1–2 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
  7. Place patties on toasted buns, add extra marinara if desired, and sprinkle with fresh basil or oregano.
  8. Serve hot with fries, salad, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • Use low-moisture mozzarella for best melting results.
  • Don’t overmix the beef to keep patties tender.
  • Warm sauce before topping to prevent cooling the patties.
  • Add a few slices of pepperoni for an authentic pizza flavor.
