These Philly Steak Cheese Fries are the ultimate indulgent comfort food, loaded with seasoned steak, sautรฉed peppers and onions, layers of gooey white American cheese, and crispy waffle fries baked to perfection.

- 1 lb steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 8โ10 White American Cheese Slices
- 20 oz bag McCain Quick Cook Waffle Cut Fries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC).
- Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
- Add the sliced steak, season with garlic salt and black pepper, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Reserve 1 tbsp of liquid in the skillet and discard the rest.
- Add sliced green bell pepper and onion to the skillet and cook until tender but still crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Remove skillet from heat and layer waffle fries evenly.
- Top fries with 4 slices of cheese, followed by the cooked steak and vegetables.
- Repeat layering and finish with remaining cheese slices on top.
- Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 8โ10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, cool slightly, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use ribeye or sirloin steak for extra tenderness.
- You can swap in provolone or mozzarella for a different cheese flavor.
- Pre-sliced steak saves time and effort.
- Make it spicy by adding jalapeรฑos or crushed red pepper.
