- 4 cups milk chocolate chips, divided
- 2 Tbsp vegetable shortening
- 2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 8 Tbsp butter, softened
Instructions
- Prepare the Chocolate Base:
In a small glass bowl, add 2 cups of chocolate chips and 1 Tbsp of shortening. Melt in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted. - Coat the Tart Pan:
Pour the melted chocolate into a 10-inch tart pan, coating the entire bottom and sides. Refrigerate until set. - Make the Peanut Butter Filling:
In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter. Mix until smooth. - Fill the Tart Pan:
Scoop the peanut butter mixture into the chilled tart pan, smoothing the top evenly. - Top with Chocolate Ganache:
Melt the remaining 2 cups of chocolate chips and 1 Tbsp of shortening. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer, spreading it out to cover the entire surface. Make sure the top is completely smooth. - Chill and Set:
Refrigerate the pie until the chocolate is set, about 1 hour. - Serve:
