Scale
- 3 medium peaches, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6-8 lemons)
- 4 cups water (divided)
- Ice cubes, for serving
- Garnish: lemon slices, peach slices, or fresh mint
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the peaches are soft and the sugar dissolves (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Blend it until smooth using an immersion blender or countertop blender. Strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove any solids.
- In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, lemon juice, and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity by adding more sugar or lemon juice if needed.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices, peach slices, or fresh mint for a decorative touch.
Notes
- For a sparkling twist, replace 1-2 cups of water with sparkling water.
- Use ripe peaches for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
- The peach syrup can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
