Description

A creamy and refreshing frozen dessert made with ripe peaches, tangy kefir, and natural honey sweetness. Light, fruity, and perfectly balanced for warm days.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups peeled and sliced ripe peaches, about 4 medium peaches
  • 2 cups full fat plain kefir
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt

Instructions

  1. Freeze the ice cream maker bowl according to manufacturer instructions.
  2. Add peaches, kefir, honey, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and salt to a blender and blend until completely smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker.
  5. Churn for 20 to 25 minutes until it reaches a soft serve consistency. If not using a machine, pour into a freezer safe container and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes for 2 to 3 hours.
  6. Transfer to a sealed container and freeze for an additional 2 hours for a firmer texture.
  7. Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping, then serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use very ripe peaches for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Chill the mixture thoroughly before churning to help prevent ice crystals.
  • Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
