Description

These Oven-Fried Feta Rolls are a crispy, golden delight with a creamy feta filling, fresh dill, and a drizzle of sweet and spicy chili honey. Baked, not fried, they make the perfect appetizer or snack. Pair them with your favorite dips for a gourmet touch!


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 16โ€“20 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
  • 1 tbsp salted butter
  • 1โ€“2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1/3 cup honey

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix feta, dill, and garlic. Set aside.
  • Place one phyllo sheet on a clean surface and fold it in half crosswise. Lightly brush edges with olive oil.
  • Spoon about 1 tbsp of the feta mixture onto the short end of the phyllo. Roll tightly, folding in the sides like a burrito. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Repeat for 12-16 rolls.
  • Brush the tops with olive oil and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • While baking, melt butter with 1 tbsp olive oil, chili flakes, and cumin seeds in a small skillet over medium heat. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in honey and remove from heat.

  • Serve warm rolls with the chili honey drizzled on top or as a dip. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, layer two phyllo sheets per roll.
  • Adjust chili flakes for desired spice level.
