Scale
- 1 1/2 tbsp ghee or avocado oil
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into small bite-sized pieces
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced into large chunks
- 1 orange bell pepper, diced into large chunks
- 1/2 yellow onion, sliced
- 1 1/2 cups sliced baby bella mushrooms
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the steak: Add steak pieces to a mixing bowl, season with salt and black pepper, and stir to coat evenly.
- Cook the steak: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ghee or avocado oil, then add the steak bites. Cook for 3-5 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove the meat from the pan and set aside.
- Cook the veggies: Add apple cider vinegar to the skillet to deglaze the pan. Stir in garlic, onion, mushrooms, and diced bell peppers. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion is translucent and the peppers are tender-crisp.
- Combine everything: Return the steak and any juices to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, just until the steak is heated through.
- Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or a splash of hot sauce.
