Description

This easy, one-pan Sausage Skillet Ravioli in Tomato Spinach Cream Sauce is a comforting, flavor-packed dish thatโ€™s perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Hearty sausage, cheesy ravioli, and a rich tomato spinach cream sauce come together in under 20 minutes for a dish the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 25 oz frozen egg noodle ravioli (frozen or fresh)
  • 20 oz diced tomatoes with garlic
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup spinach or arugula

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, brown sausage on medium-high heat and break it up into crumbles, about 8 minutes.
  2. Toss in ravioli and stir to coat with sausage grease. Be careful not to let ravioli stick to the bottom of the pan.
  3. Slowly stir in diced tomatoes and cook for about 4 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce.
  4. Add in heavy cream, reduce heat to medium-low, and stir well. Let the sauce thicken.
  5. Add spinach or arugula and stir until wilted.
  6. Check the doneness of the pasta. If itโ€™s soft and springy, itโ€™s done! If still slightly frozen, add a little water to prevent overcooking the sauce and toss until pasta is fully cooked.
  7. Plate and enjoy!

Notes

  • This dish is very flexible! You can use any kind of ravioli, whether cheese or meat-filled, for a different flavor twist.
  • Feel free to swap spinach for arugula for a slightly peppery flavor.
  • If youโ€™d like extra creamy sauce, add a little more heavy cream to taste.
