  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups (24 oz) chicken broth
  • 8 oz cavatappi pasta
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up as it browns for 6-8 minutes, or until no longer pink. Drain excess grease and set the beef aside on a plate.
  2. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper, stirring to coat evenly.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, add the pasta, and ensure it is fully submerged in the liquid. Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
