- 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 (3.9-ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 1/2 cups cold whole or 2% milk
- 12 whole graham cracker sheets (about 6 1/2 ounces), or 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups cold heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, divided
- 1 cup whole-milk ricotta cheese
- 1 tablespoon finely grated orange zest (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup miniature chocolate chips, divided
Instructions
- Crush graham crackers into fine crumbs and mix with granulated sugar, 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, and melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom of a 9ร9-inch pan to form a crust. Chill in refrigerator.
- In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add chocolate pudding mix and milk. Whisk until thick and creamy. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream with 1/4 cup powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, remaining 1/4 cup powdered sugar, orange zest (if using), vanilla extract, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt. Fold in half of the whipped cream and 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
- Spread ricotta mixture over the chilled crust. Spread chocolate pudding layer on top. Then top with remaining whipped cream.
- Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Slice and serve chilled.

- Use high-quality ricotta and drain if itโs too watery.
- Chilling overnight enhances flavor and texture.
- Optional: Add chopped pistachios or a dusting of cocoa powder on top.
