Description

Ninita’s Cheesy Olive Crostini is a quick and irresistible appetizer made with crispy bread, melted cheddar, creamy mayo, briny black olives, and red onion. Bubbly, golden, and perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 French bread loaf, sliced into 1-inch rounds
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup chopped black olives
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, chopped olives, red onion, garlic powder, and oregano.
  3. Arrange the bread slices on the baking sheet.
  4. Spoon and spread the cheesy mixture evenly over each slice.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  6. Let cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use thick bread slices to prevent sogginess.
  • Grate cheese fresh for best melt and flavor.
  • Broil briefly at the end for a crispier top.
  • Mix topping ahead and refrigerate until ready to use.
