Description

Mississippi Lil Smokies are the ultimate party appetizerโ€”sweet, smoky, tangy, and irresistibly easy to make. With just a few pantry staples like BBQ sauce, grape jelly, and Worcestershire, these little sausages are slow-cooked into a flavorful bite thatโ€™s always a hit at gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (14 oz) package of cocktail sausages (Lil Smokies)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup grape jelly
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add the cocktail sausages, BBQ sauce, grape jelly, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard to a slow cooker.
  2. Stir everything together until the sausages are well coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 2โ€“3 hours, or until heated through and the sauce is thick and bubbly.
  4. Stir occasionally, if possible, to prevent sticking.
  5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use any BBQ sauce variety to adjust the flavor (smoky, spicy, sweet).
  • Can be kept on warm setting for party serving.
  • Easily doubled for larger gatherings.
