Description

These Game Day Pizza Pepper Poppers are the ultimate handheld snack for game day! Sweet mini peppers are stuffed with marinara sauce, melty mozzarella, and pepperoni, then roasted to perfection for a flavorful, bite-sized treat. Perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying solo during the big game


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sweet mini peppers, sliced in half lengthwise
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Mini pepperoni, for topping
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons finely grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC).
  • Slice the mini peppers in half lengthwise and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  • Drizzle or spray the peppers with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried basil.
  • Roast the peppers for 10 minutes, then remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  • Fill each pepper with marinara sauce, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese and mini pepperoni. Adjust the amount of sauce and cheese based on the size of your peppers.
  • Return the pan to the oven for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with finely grated parmesan cheese.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
