- 1 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 large onion, sliced into half rings
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp salt or favorite seasoning
- 4 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
- 4 burger buns or brioche buns
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and cook for 10 minutes until caramelized.
- Add mushrooms and sauté until tender and browned. Remove and set aside.
- Shape ground beef into 4 patties and season with salt or your favorite seasoning.
- In the same skillet, cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side or until cooked to your liking.
- Top each patty with a slice of cheese during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Toast buns lightly in the skillet for 1–2 minutes until golden.
- Assemble burgers with patties, mushrooms, and onions between buns. Serve hot.
