Description

A rich and hearty baked quiche with a flaky crust, creamy egg filling, and savory sausage and ham, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an easy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust dough
  • 200 g sausage meat, cooked and crumbled
  • 150 g ham pieces, diced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 120 ml milk
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 150 g shredded cheese
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and position a rack in the center.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  3. Press the unbaked pie crust dough gently into a 9 inch pie dish, trimming excess if needed.
  4. Evenly distribute the cooked sausage meat and diced ham over the crust, then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  5. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the filling.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the center is just set and the top is lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • Let the quiche rest before slicing for cleaner cuts.
  • Place the pie dish on a baking sheet to catch any spills.
  • For a crispier base, lightly blind bake the crust before filling.
