Description

These Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts with balsamic are a sweet and savory side dish. Roasted to perfection with a maple syrup glaze and a hint of spices, they’re perfect for dinner or holiday meals.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 16 oz Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for marinating)
  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for baking tray)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower oil (for roasting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim and halve Brussels sprouts. In a large bowl, toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil, sweet paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Drizzle 2 tablespoons olive oil over a baking tray to prevent sticking. Spread Brussels sprouts evenly on the tray.
  4. Drizzle maple syrup and sunflower oil over the Brussels sprouts.
  5. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until tender and caramelized.
  6. Remove from oven, drizzle with extra maple syrup if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust maple syrup to taste for more or less sweetness.
  • Sunflower oil helps achieve a crispier texture; olive oil can be used as an alternative.
  • Optional: sprinkle with balsamic glaze before serving for extra tanginess.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven to retain crispiness.
