- 16 oz Brussels sprouts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for marinating)
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for baking tray)
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil (for roasting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim and halve Brussels sprouts. In a large bowl, toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil, sweet paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Drizzle 2 tablespoons olive oil over a baking tray to prevent sticking. Spread Brussels sprouts evenly on the tray.
- Drizzle maple syrup and sunflower oil over the Brussels sprouts.
- Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until tender and caramelized.
- Remove from oven, drizzle with extra maple syrup if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust maple syrup to taste for more or less sweetness.
- Sunflower oil helps achieve a crispier texture; olive oil can be used as an alternative.
- Optional: sprinkle with balsamic glaze before serving for extra tanginess.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven to retain crispiness.
