Description

All of the flavors of lasagna in a hot, cheesy dipโ€”perfect for dipping, with no regrets!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup lasagna tomato sauce (recipe below)
  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese, ricotta, or cream cheese
  • 1 cup partially skim mozzarella, shredded

Instructions

  • Cook the ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat. Add the lasagna tomato sauce and simmer for about 3-5 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
  • Spread the cottage cheese (or ricotta/cream cheese) evenly over the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Top with the turkey sauce mixture and then sprinkle the mozzarella on top.
  • Bake in a preheated 350ยฐF (180ยฐC) oven until the top is golden brown and the sides are bubbling, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Slow Cooker:
    • Implement step 1.
    • Layer the cottage cheese, turkey sauce, and mozzarella in the slow cooker as you would in the baking dish.
    • Cook on high for 1-2 hours or on low for 2-4 hours until the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Option: Use ground beef or Italian sausage instead of turkey, or omit the meat for a vegetarian version.
  • Option: Swap the lasagna sauce for your favorite marinara sauce if preferred.
