Description

Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 pieces of salmon (about 1 1/2 lbs)

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 tablespoon peanut or canola oil

  • Jerk seasoning

  • Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).

  2. Sear the salmon: In a skillet, melt the butter and heat it with the oil over medium heat. Season the salmon with jerk seasoning, salt, and pepper. Place the salmon in the skillet, skin-side down, and sear for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.

  3. Add lemon and bake: Flip the salmon over, squeeze lemon juice over it, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through.

  4. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve hot with additional lemon slices if desired.
