Description

This Italian Dressing Chicken is juicy, flavorful, and slow-baked to perfection. Marinated in zesty Italian dressing with a blend of seasonings, bell peppers, and onions, this easy dinner recipe is perfect for busy weeknights. Serve it with rice, pasta, or a fresh salad for a delicious homemade meal!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 68 pieces chicken (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 1 small red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 small yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp adobo seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt (or more to taste)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (optional)

Instructions

  • Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, pat the chicken dry. Add sliced bell peppers and onions, then pour in the Italian dressing and all seasonings. Mix well and let marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for deeper flavor).
  • Prepare for Baking: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the marinated chicken to a 13×9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with additional seasoning if desired. If using butter, place small slices over the chicken for extra richness.
  • Bake: Bake uncovered in the middle rack for 1 hour or until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown on top.
  • Serve: Enjoy hot with rice, pasta, or a fresh side salad.

Notes

  • Marinating overnight enhances the flavor.
  • Bone-in chicken takes longer to cook than boneless, so adjust cooking time as needed.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or crusty bread for a complete meal.
