Description

A comforting Homestyle Apple Pie Bread that blends the warm, nostalgic flavors of apple pie with the soft texture of freshly baked bread, infused with cinnamon and sweet apple chunks, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (15 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling or homemade apple pie filling
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325ยฐF (163ยฐC).
  2. In a large bowl, use a fork to mash the apple pie filling into smaller pieces.
  3. Add yellow cake mix, 4 large eggs, 1 cup self-rising flour, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon to the mashed apples. Blend with a handheld mixer until smooth.
  4. Spray two 9ร—5-inch loaf pans with non-stick spray.
  5. Evenly distribute the batter between the two prepared loaf pans.
  6. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon together, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter in each pan.
  7. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Serve warm or cold, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
