Description

Homemade Maple Chicken Sausage Patties are juicy, savory-sweet breakfast sausages made with ground chicken, pure maple syrup, and warm spices. Theyโ€™re easy to prepare, freezer-friendly, and perfect for a wholesome morning meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken (preferably a mix of white and dark meat)
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground sage
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, maple syrup, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Mix thoroughly with your hands or a spoon until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Divide mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into small, flat patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook patties in batches for about 4โ€“5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165ยฐF / 74ยฐC).
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm, or let cool and freeze for later use.

Notes

  • Ground turkey can be used instead of chicken if preferred.
  • Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized patties.
  • These sausage patties freeze wellโ€”store between parchment sheets in a zip-top bag.
  • Maple flavor can be intensified with an extra drizzle after cooking.
