- 1 lb ground chicken (preferably a mix of white and dark meat)
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground sage
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, maple syrup, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Mix thoroughly with your hands or a spoon until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Divide mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into small, flat patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties in batches for about 4โ5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165ยฐF / 74ยฐC).
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm, or let cool and freeze for later use.

- Ground turkey can be used instead of chicken if preferred.
