- 1 small Granny Smith apple, grated
- 1 small yellow onion, grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons ghee, tallow, lard, or fat of choice for cooking
Instructions

- Form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.

- Remove the patties from the skillet and drain any excess oil on a paper towel.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides or enjoy them on their own!
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste. You can add more or less of the spices depending on your preference.
- If you donโt have ground chicken, ground turkey can be used as a substitute.
- For a more traditional sausage flavor, you can add crushed red pepper flakes or fennel seeds.
