Description

Heaven on Earth Cake is a light, no-bake dessert layered with fluffy angel food cake, creamy vanilla pudding, tart cherry pie filling, and smooth whipped topping. Sweet, tangy, and beautifully soft, this chilled dessert is a crowd favorite that truly lives up to its name.


Ingredients

  • 1 prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • Maraschino cherries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix, milk, and sour cream until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Arrange half of the angel food cake cubes in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
  3. Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cake layer, spreading evenly.
  4. Add the remaining cake cubes, then pour the pudding mixture evenly on top.
  5. Spread the whipped topping over the pudding layer, smoothing the surface.
  6. Top with the remaining cherry pie filling, sliced almonds, and maraschino cherries.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving to let the layers set.
