Description

Soft Hawaiian rolls baked into a pull-apart pizza loaded with gooey mozzarella, pepperoni, pizza sauce, and brushed with savory garlic butter.


Ingredients

  • 24 Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 tablespoons butter, partially melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (or 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20 pepperoni slices
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the partially melted butter, garlic, and dried parsley.
  3. Slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls horizontally without separating them.
  4. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the baking dish.
  5. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the rolls.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly, then layer pepperoni and parmesan.
  7. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  8. Brush the tops generously with garlic butter.
  9. Bake uncovered for 18–22 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
  10. Remove from oven, let rest briefly, then pull apart and serve.

Notes

  • Use low-moisture mozzarella to avoid soggy rolls.
  • Add toppings sparingly so the rolls bake evenly.
  • Let rest a few minutes before serving for cleaner pull-apart pieces.
  • Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
