Scale
For the Patties
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
For the Sliders
- 12 Hawaiian rolls (soft and slightly sweet)
- 6 slices cheese (American, cheddar, or preferred melty cheese), halved
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- Dill pickle slices, to taste
- Ketchup, to taste
- Mustard, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined to avoid toughening the meat. Form the mixture into small, slider-sized patties that match the size of the Hawaiian rolls.
- Cook the Patties: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3 minutes per side until fully cooked and juicy. During the last minute of cooking, place a half slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
- Prepare the Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the entire sheet intact if baking all sliders together. Spread softened butter generously on the tops of the rolls to ensure they brown beautifully when baked.
- Assemble the Sliders: Place each cheesy patty on the bottom half of the rolls. Add a slice of dill pickle and your preferred condiments such as ketchup and mustard. Top with the top halves of the rolls.
- Bake for a Golden Finish: Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for 10-15 minutes until the rolls are warmed through and slightly toasted on top.
Notes
- Use fresh ground beef for juicier sliders.
- Do not overwork the meat when mixing to keep patties tender.
- Make patties uniform in size to match the rolls for even cooking and neat presentation.
- Brush butter on tops of rolls before baking for a golden crust.
- Add fresh toppings like lettuce or tomatoes after baking for crispiness.
