Description

Ground Beef Tortilla Wraps are a delicious and customizable meal with seasoned ground beef, fresh vegetables, and creamy toppings, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla for an easy, satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • For the Ground Beef Filling:
  • 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Wrap Assembly:
  • 4โ€“6 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup salsa or hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 avocado or guacamole (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil (if needed) over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sautรฉ until softened, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart as it browns. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste (if using), cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  4. While the beef cooks, warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 15โ€“20 seconds until pliable.
  5. To assemble, place a generous portion of the seasoned ground beef mixture in the center of each tortilla.
  6. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), salsa (or hot sauce), and avocado (or guacamole) as desired.
  7. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly to form a wrap.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more chili powder or hot sauce.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of cilantro or a squeeze of lime juice before wrapping.
  • Feel free to add extra toppings like jalapeรฑos, olives, or black beans for variety.
