Description

These Grilled Cheese Skewers take grilled cheese to a whole new level! Perfectly grilled, chewy, and salty, they make an irresistible appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 20 ounces Queso Fresco (or any other grilling cheese)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

ย

  • 10 metal or bamboo skewers

Instructions

  • Prepare Skewers:
If using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for at least 10 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

  • Preheat Grill:
Preheat the grill to medium heat.

  • Prepare Cheese:
Cut the cheese into 1-inch wide strips for skewering. The length will vary depending on the shape of the cheese.

  • Skewer Cheese:
Thread the cheese onto the soaked skewers.

  • Season Cheese:
Brush the cheese skewers with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Be careful, as grilling cheeses can be naturally salty.

  • Grill Cheese Skewers:
Place the skewers on the grill. Grill the first side until lightly browned, about 1 minute. Flip the skewers and grill the second side for 1 minute. Continue flipping to brown and crisp all sides.

ย

  • Serve:
Serve the grilled cheese skewers immediately.
