Description

Grilled BBQ Boneless Chicken Thighs are perfectly marinated in a smoky and flavorful barbecue sauce with a hint of chili powder and paprika. Grilled to perfection, these juicy chicken thighs are the ultimate summer dish, packed with flavor and easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds skinless boneless chicken thighs (about 8 larger thighs or 12 smaller ones)
  • For the marinade:
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, barbecue sauce, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl with the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, to allow the flavors to soak in.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.
  4. Remove the chicken thighs from the marinade and place them on the grill. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ยฐF (74ยฐC) and has a nice char.
  5. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra smoky flavor, use wood chips on the grill while cooking the chicken.
  • Feel free to add more chili powder for extra heat or a drizzle of honey for a touch of sweetness.
