  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh mint
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground lamb
  • 6 pita bread rounds
  • Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • Thinly sliced tomatoes
  • Thinly sliced red onion
  • 6 ounces crumbled feta cheese
  • Tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the bread pieces and milk until softened.
  2. Add shallots, garlic, mint, oregano, salt, and pepper, and mix gently.
  3. Add the ground lamb and combine lightly until everything is distributed evenly.
  4. Shape the mixture into patties of similar size.
  5. Cook the patties using your preferred safe method until fully done and browned on the outside.
