Description

This quick and flavorful skillet gnocchi is crisped to golden perfection and paired with sweet peas for a delicious and satisfying meal. Ingredients

  • 1 lb gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)

  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  • Toast the Gnocchi

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add gnocchi and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy on the outside.

  • Add the Peas & Garlic

    • Stir in minced garlic and thawed peas.

    • Cook for another 2-3 minutes until peas are heated through and garlic is fragrant.

    • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  • Finish with Parmesan & Basil

    • Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese.

    • If using, add fresh basil and toss to combine.

    • Serve warm as a main dish or a side with grilled chicken or fish.


Notes

  • For extra crunch, let the gnocchi cook undisturbed for a minute before stirring.

  • Swap Parmesan for pecorino for a sharper flavor.
