Description

These Garlic Butter Steak Bites are perfectly seared, tossed in aromatic garlic butter, and paired with creamy mashed potatoes and a decadent Parmesan cream sauce. A true indulgence for steak lovers!


Ingredients

  • For the Steak:
    • 2 lbs steak filet, ribeye, sirloin, etc.
    • 4โ€“5 tablespoons avocado oil
  • For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
    • 5 tablespoons butter, divided
    • 10 cloves garlic, minced and divided
    • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
    • 2 green onions, diced green and white parts
    • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
    • 2/3 cup parmesan (grated/shredded/shaved)
  • For the Cheesy Mashed Potatoes:
    • 4 lbs russet potatoes
    • 1 cup half and half (warmed)
    • 6 tablespoons salted butter (melted)
    • 3/4 cup monterey jack cheese (or mozzarella, pepper jack, etc.)
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt
    • Pepper to taste
  • For the Homemade Blackened Seasoning:
    • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika (regular paprika works too)
    • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
    • 1 tablespoon onion powder
    • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into 2-3โ€ณ pieces. Rub with avocado oil and season with blackened seasoning. Let sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Peel and quarter potatoes. Soak in cold water for 10 minutes, then drain and cook in salted water until fork-tender.
  3. Heat 2-3 tablespoons avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steak in batches, undisturbed for 2 minutes until golden, then flip and cook for 1 more minute. Reduce heat to low and cook for another minute. Remove steak and tent with foil.
  4. Add 3 tablespoons butter and 1 tablespoon garlic to the skillet. Sautรฉ until fragrant, then toss steak in garlic butter for another minute.
  5. For the cream sauce, add remaining butter and garlic to the skillet. Sautรฉ until fragrant, then whisk in heavy cream and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  6. For the mashed potatoes, drain water and mash with melted butter, half and half, cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  7. Serve steak bites over the cheesy mashed potatoes and drizzle with the Parmesan cream sauce. Enjoy!
