- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Drain excess grease if necessary, then stir in the honey BBQ sauce, honey, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- Fill each tortilla with the beef mixture, then top with shredded cheddar, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, and sour cream if using.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
