Scale
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, or 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 New York strip steaks or Porterhouse steaks
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 8 ounces shrimp, deveined, tails on or off
Instructions
- Mix together butter, garlic, and fresh chopped parsley. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Heat a large grill over high heat. Lightly grease the grill plates with oil. Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel, brush lightly with oil, and generously season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Spread half of the garlic butter over the steaks. Transfer the steaks to a warm plate and let rest for 5 minutes.
- While the steaks are resting, melt the remaining butter. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Reduce the heat to medium and grill the shrimp for 5-6 minutes, depending on their size and thickness. Flip them halfway through and continue cooking until they turn pink and opaque on the inside.
- Toss the remaining garlic butter with the shrimp and serve with the steaks.
Notes
- For an extra flavor boost, add a squeeze of lemon juice over the steak and shrimp before serving.
- Adjust the cook time for the steak and shrimp based on your preferred level of doneness for the steak and size of shrimp.
