Description

These Fried Shrimp Dumplings are golden and crisp on the outside with a juicy, savory shrimp filling inside. Perfect as an appetizer or main dish, they deliver bold flavor and satisfying crunch in every bite.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 30 round dumpling wrappers
  • 3 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the raw shrimp and place in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg, and cornstarch. Mix until well combined.
  3. Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  4. Moisten the edges with water, fold, and press firmly to seal.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  6. Arrange dumplings in a single layer and fry for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  8. Serve hot while crisp and enjoy.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the wrappers to prevent bursting during frying.
  • Seal the edges tightly to avoid leaks.
  • Cook in batches to maintain crisp texture.
  • Reheat leftovers in a skillet to restore crispness.
