Instructions
-
Prepare the Cheese Curds:
Set the flour, eggs, and crushed Doritos in separate bowls.
Dip each cheese curd in the flour, then in the beaten eggs. Roll them in the crushed Doritos, pressing to coat evenly. Place the coated curds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 30 minutes. -
Fry the Cheese Curds:
Heat enough canola oil in a large pot over medium heat until it reaches 360ยฐF (182ยฐC) on a deep-frying thermometer. Fry the cheese curds for 1-2 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown. Transfer the fried cheese curds to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. -
Make the Dipping Sauce:
In a bowl, mix together mayo, horseradish, ketchup, paprika, oregano, cayenne (if using), and salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.
For the best flavor, refrigerate the sauce for at least 1 hour before serving. -
Serve:
Serve the crispy fried cheese curds with the dipping sauce.
