Description

Crispy, gooey Fried Cheese Curds coated in Doritos and served with a zesty horseradish dipping sauce. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or party favorite.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 10 ounces Cheese curds
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups Doritos, crushed
  • Canola oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon Oregano
  • A pinch of Cayenne, optional
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Set up three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and crushed Doritos.
  2. Pat cheese curds dry. Coat each curd in flour, then egg, and then Doritos, pressing lightly to adhere.
  3. Heat canola oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry curds in small batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  5. For the dipping sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, horseradish, ketchup, paprika, oregano, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper.
  6. Serve the hot curds with dipping sauce immediately.

Notes

  • Pat curds dry to ensure coating sticks.
  • Fry in small batches to maintain oil temperature.
  • Serve immediately for maximum crispiness.
  • Crushed Doritos provide a flavorful, crunchy coating.
