Description

This quick and easy peanut satay sauce comes together in just five minutes with five simple ingredients. It’s a creamy, flavorful sauce perfect for dipping, drizzling over grilled chicken, tossing into salads and noodles, or even spreading on toast. Whether you’re looking for an easy dinner recipe, a healthy sauce for meal prep, or a flavorful addition to your favorite dishes, this satay sauce delivers!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter

  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 tsp fish sauce (or substitute with extra soy sauce)

  • 1 tbsp sweet chili jam

  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl or jar, combine peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, fish sauce, and sweet chili jam.

  • Add Water: Using a fork or whisk, mix the ingredients into a thick paste. Gradually add the water while stirring until the sauce reaches a smooth, pourable consistency. Adjust with more water for a thinner sauce.

  • Use & Store: Use immediately as a dipping sauce, drizzle over grilled chicken or tofu, mix into noodles, or spread on toast. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.

Notes

  • Use natural peanut butter (just peanuts and salt) for the best flavor. Avoid added sugar varieties.

  • For a vegetarian version, replace fish sauce with extra soy sauce.

  • The sauce thickens as it sits—adjust consistency by adding water as needed.
