- 3 large avocados, ripe
- 1 Roma tomato, seeded and diced, optional
- 1/2 medium white onion, diced
- 1/2 cup cilantro, finely chopped (about 1/3 bunch)
- 3 Tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Using a fork or potato masher, mash the avocados to your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
- Add the diced tomato, onion, and cilantro to the mashed avocado.
- Stir in the lime juice, sea salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips, or use as a topping for tacos, nachos, or other dishes.
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier guacamole, you can add finely chopped jalapeรฑos or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- To keep the guacamole from browning, press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface and refrigerate until ready to serve.
