Description

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 (14 oz) jar pizza sauce (or marinara)
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Italian seasoning, to taste
  • 1 (16 oz) package gnocchi, cooked according to package instructions
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian shredded cheese
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it into pieces.
  2. Drain any excess fat, then add the drained diced tomatoes and the pizza sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  3. Season with garlic powder and Italian seasoning to taste. Let the mixture simmer for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked gnocchi and stir to coat everything evenly in the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the Italian shredded cheese over the top and add pepperoni slices.
  6. Cover the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve warm.
