Description

Easy Apple Pie Nachos with Cream Cheese Drizzle are a fun and quick dessert. Crisp, tender apple slices are coated in a sweet cinnamon-spiced sauce and topped with a creamy vanilla cream cheese drizzle, perfect for sharing or snacking.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Apple Pie Filling:
  • 5 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/16 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/16 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch + 3 tbsp water (for slurry)
  • Cream Cheese Topping:
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine apples, lemon juice, sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ½ cup water. Cook over medium heat until apples begin to soften, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Mix 2 tbsp cornstarch with 3 tbsp water to make a slurry. Add to the apple mixture and cook until thickened, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. For the cream cheese drizzle, whisk together cream cheese, vanilla extract, milk, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Arrange apple slices on a serving platter as ‘nachos.’ Drizzle with cream cheese mixture.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature as a fun dessert or snack.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a balanced sweet-tart flavor.
  • Adjust cinnamon and nutmeg to taste for desired spice level.
  • Can be prepared ahead and stored in the fridge; drizzle cream cheese topping just before serving.
  • Optional: sprinkle with chopped nuts or caramel sauce for extra flavor.
