- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp warm apple cider
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- Canola oil, for frying
Instructions
- Heat canola oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat to 350°F (175°C).
- While oil is heating, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, warm apple cider, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.
- Separate the biscuit dough and cut into halves or desired donut shapes.
- Carefully place the dough pieces into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove donuts from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Dip each warm donut into the apple cider glaze, ensuring even coating.
- Optionally, roll glazed donuts in sugar for extra sweetness and spice.
