Description

These Easter Pretzel Chick Treats are a fun and deliciously creative snack for your Easter celebration. With crispy mini pretzels, yellow candy melts, chocolate chips, and Starburst for beaks, these little chick-shaped treats will surely bring a smile to both kids and adults alike!


Ingredients

  • 24 mini pretzels
  • 1 cup yellow candy melting chips
  • 24 mini chocolate chips
  • 2 orange Starbursts

Instructions

  • Prepare the beaks:

    • Cut each Starburst into 3 rectangular strips (1/4โ€ณ x 3/4โ€ณ).
    • Cut each strip in half, creating 6 pieces (1/4โ€ณ x 3/8โ€ณ).
    • Cut each of those pieces diagonally to create 12 triangles for the beaks.
    • Repeat with the other Starburst, making a total of 24 beaks.
  • Arrange the pretzels:

    • Lay the pretzels out on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet.
  • Melt the candy:

    • Heat the yellow candy melting chips by microwaving for 30 seconds, stirring, and repeating until fully melted. Allow it to cool for 2-3 minutes.
  • Shape the chicks:

    • Transfer the melted candy to a zippered bag and clip a tiny piece off the corner.
    • Pipe the candy over the inside of each pretzel, forming the shape of a chick. Smooth with your finger if necessary.
  • Add the features:

    • Place a mini chocolate chip for each chickโ€™s eye and a Starburst triangle for the beak.
  • Set the candy:

    • Place the cookie sheet in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to allow the candy to set and harden.
