- Divide the ground beef into 4 even balls (about 6 ounces each).
- Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

- Place the beef balls in the skillet and sear for 2 minutes.
- Use a spatula to smash them into thin patties.

- Flip and cook until the other side is seared and fully cooked.
- Transfer patties to a clean plate and keep the drippings in the pan.
