Description

These homemade cereal bars are the perfect chocolatey, peanut buttery treat! With a crispy, chewy texture from honey hoops and rice cereal, these bars make a delicious breakfast, snack, or dessert. Theyโ€™re easy to make, no-bake, and naturally sweetened with honey!


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups honey hoops cereal
  • 2 cups crisp rice cereal

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

Prepare the Peanut Butter Mixture:

  • In a saucepan over low-medium heat, melt butter, peanut butter, honey, vanilla, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Stir until smooth and well combined.

2. Mix with Cereal:

  • In a large bowl, toss together honey hoops and rice cereal.
  • Pour the warm peanut butter mixture over the cereal.
  • Stir until fully coated.

3. Form the Bars:

  • Line an 8ร—8-inch baking tin with parchment paper.
  • Press the cereal mixture firmly into the tin.

4. Add Chocolate Topping:

  • Melt dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Drizzle evenly over the top of the bars.

5. Chill & Serve:

  • Slice into bars and enjoy!
